What will happen to information about me?
Your confidentiality is very important to us. Any information obtained in connection with this research project that can identify you will remain confidential and will only be used for the purpose of providing you with your swab result. Your information can only be disclosed with your permission, except as required by law. Your questionnaires will be labelled with a code, date of collection and date of birth only.
Data will be stored indefinitely in accordance with the Melbourne University policy on the management of research data and records. Your data will only be stored in password protected, restricted access databases. It is important to note that any information you enter on the electronic questionnaires is not stored on the website but is immediately removed for storage on the security protected database.
